LP Radar

The limited partner database built from documented fund closings, not from a scraped contact list. Browse the fund-of-funds, sovereign and development finance institutions, corporates, foundations and pension funds that have actually committed capital to venture.

Where LP capital moved recently

Does LP Radar cover your segment?

Tell it where you invest and in what. It comes back with how many institutions in the data have backed comparable funds, how many of those have backed a first or second fund, and three of them by name.

What the free profiles do not show

The profiles above cover who an LP is. They do not show what it has been doing: the full commitment history, fund sizes, commitment dates, how recently it was active, and the pattern behind its allocations.

LP Radar FAQ

Almost every entry is mapped from a published fund closing that Fund Momentum covers, typically within 24 hours of the announcement. A small number come from primary institutional sources instead, where a region has real activity but no coverage on the blog yet, and those carry the originating document. Nothing is bought from a contact vendor and nothing is inferred.

It covers every LP named in a fund closing since coverage began: currently 260+ institutions across 50 countries, weighted towards the EU, the US and the UK. Roughly seven in ten closings that mention their LP base still name no one, and those are marked as undisclosed rather than filled in with guesswork, so you always know where the record ends. Institutions are published; individual and angel backers are not.

Free covers who an institution is: name, type, headquarters, geographic focus, website and how many commitments are on record. Full access covers what it has been doing: the commitment list itself, fund sizes, commitment dates, how recently it allocated, its allocation pattern and the LPs that keep appearing in the same funds.

No, and that is deliberate. Part of this data comes from public registers that also name private individuals, and a spreadsheet on someone's laptop cannot be corrected the way a page can. Keeping it in the product is also what lets it stay current: commitments change, and an export is out of date the moment it is written.

Continuously. Every new fund announcement is swept for LP mentions the moment it publishes, and a scheduled pass re-checks the archive every six hours. Around 30 new closings are covered per week.

Start from behaviour rather than from a name list. Filter for the fund sizes, geographies and sectors an LP has actually backed, check whether it has committed to first-time managers, then look at its co-investors to find the institutions that keep appearing alongside it. That combination gets you a shortlist of 60 to 120 credible targets instead of a spreadsheet of thousands.

Yes. Email michael@fundmomentum.vc and the entry is corrected or removed. Accuracy comes before completeness here.
