LP Radar — Limited Partner Database

What is free

• LP name, institution type, headquarters, geographic focus and website
• Number of documented commitments and the most recent fund backed
• Filtering by LP type and headquarters country
• Coverage check for a given geography and sector
• Over MCP: check_lp_coverage, counts of LPs matching a country and LP type (never names), with no API key
• Aggregate allocation pattern and emerging-manager flag on every profile
• Three LP profiles opened in full, permanently, on every free account

What requires full access

• Complete commitment history per LP, with fund size, stage, geography and sector
• Commitment dates and time since the LP last allocated
• Allocation pattern: typical fund size band, preferred geographies and sectors, first-time-manager activity
• Co-investing LPs that recur across the same funds
• Weekly movement digest of new LP commitments
• On the annual plan: one curated, hand-checked LP longlist (60-120 LPs) and warm-intro mapping against the Fund Momentum network
• Over MCP: search_lps, LP records (name, type, HQ, geographic focus, website, emerging-manager backing) on the API key of the subscribed account, up to 25 per call, unlimited calls. Not available per call, on agent credits or on the keyless trial. Commitment history is not served over MCP

LP Radar pricing

• Free: €0, no card. Full directory, coverage check, three LP profiles opened in full permanently
• Monthly: €199 per month. Every LP profile in full with no unlock limit, commitment history, allocation patterns, co-investor mapping, weekly movement digest. Cancels any month, because a raise has an end date and an annual contract does not fit one
• Annual: €1,499 per year. The same access, plus one curated hand-checked LP longlist (60-120 LPs) and warm-intro mapping. Worth it from roughly seven and a half months onward
• There is no feature ladder between the two paid options: both open every profile. The only difference is billing cadence and the longlist on annual
• Billing: self-serve card checkout (Stripe) on /lp-radar. Access, and the API key for search_lps, switch on right after payment under the email used at checkout; no account is needed beforehand. Cancel any time in the billing portal; access runs to the end of the paid period. Institutions that need a purchase order or bank-transfer invoice can email michael@fundmomentum.vc

Methodology and limitations

• Source: every LP entry maps to a fund closing published on FundMomentum, usually within 24 hours of the announcement. No data is purchased from contact vendors and none is inferred.
• Coverage: the LP base grows every week as new fund closings are added, about 10 a week. Closings that name no LPs are recorded as undisclosed rather than guessed, so the gap is explicit rather than hidden.
• Who is published: institutions are published. Individuals (operators, angels) are published only when the fund itself named them in its announcement. Individuals who appear only through register filings (for example Companies House LP6 forms) are recorded internally but never published, for data-protection reasons.
• No export: the LP list cannot be exported or downloaded as a spreadsheet, on any tier. This is deliberate: part of the data comes from public registers that also name private individuals, and a live page can be corrected where a spreadsheet cannot. Programmatic LP access is a query interface, not an export: LP coverage counts are free over MCP, and LP Radar subscribers can query LP records with search_lps, 25 per call.
• Update frequency: new announcements are swept for LP mentions on publish; a scheduled pass re-checks the archive every six hours.
• Interpreting recency: commitment dates indicate an LP's mandate and allocation behaviour over time. They describe what an institution has done, not its current availability, which is not published by LPs and is therefore not part of this dataset.

3. Data & Coverage

How fund records are kept accurate

• Closes are written back: when Fund Momentum publishes a fund close, the fund record takes the close type (first, interim, final), date and amount from that post. A launch or a target never overwrites an announced fund size, and a combined figure across several vehicles is never stored as one fund's size.
• Stated currency, not conversions: fund sizes are stored in the currency the fund announced. Conversions are for display only.
• Per-field sources: each fund's size, stage and GP names carry their source, ranked fund-verified claim, editor, Fund Momentum close coverage, fund website, automated extraction. A lower-ranked source never overwrites a higher one. Over MCP this is provenance.field_sources in get_fund.
• GP names must be sourced: a partner's name is stored only when it appears in a fetched source text with a first and last name. Names an extraction model produced without a source are dropped.
• Weekly data-health checks flag fund sizes that disagree with the latest close, stages implausible for the fund size, single-word GP names and funds still marked open after a final close.

• search_lps (LP Radar subscription): LP records, up to 25 per call, unlimited calls, on the API key of an account subscribed to LP Radar (€199/month or €1,499/year). Not sold per call, on agent credits or on the keyless trial; without LP Radar it returns the coverage count instead of records, never a payment challenge

Pricing (autonomous agents, pay per call)

• €0.01 per call, no subscription, no monthly limit, credits never expire. Agent tier has full Pro-level access to all six fund tools. LP records (search_lps) are never sold on credits; check_lp_coverage is free and costs no credit
• Credit packs: €10 for 1,000 calls; €80 for 10,000 calls (€0.008/call); €500 for 100,000 calls (€0.005/call)
• Agents self-register with POST https://fundmomentum.vc/_api/agent/register and receive a key plus 25 free credits instantly, usable across all six fund tools with no payment. An agent can register and start working in the same second
• Beyond the free credits an agent pays for itself, with no human at any point: fully autonomous machine payment is live over MPP on Tempo mainnet (chain 4217) in USDC. Stripe Checkout credit packs remain available for people who prefer a card
• When credits run out the MCP returns HTTP 402 carrying a standard WWW-Authenticate: Payment challenge. Pay it, retry, and the response comes back with a Payment-Receipt header. A balance can also be bought up front at POST /_api/agent/credits/topup (€5 / €20 / €50 / €100), same flow. Either way search_funds, get_fund, get_changes and check_lp_coverage still answer 10 calls/day with no credential at all.
